Vivid Sydney – Light, Music & Ideas

We are now well into the count-down for Vivid Sydney ‘a festival of light, music and ideas.’

The 23 day gala boasts a music programme featuring local and international acts performing all over the city, from the Sydney Opera House, to small bars and everywhere in between.

Vivid Light is hard to miss; 1.7 million visitors in 2015 and it is only expected to grow.  ‘Lighting the Sales’ of the Opera House is an obvious feature, but there will be lighting spectacles throughout the city including at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay, and various locations around Walsh Bay.

Vivid Ideas includes talks, panels and workshops, a zine fair, film screenings; a packed month of thinking creative.  Vivd say the program ‘truly spans the innovation and imagination sector’ and we have to agree with them.  Events range from free to a few hundred, to invite only (!), with most landing under $50.

The Vivid website is excellent, easy to filter the hundreds of happenings by location, date, type, and collate you’re own little Vivid road map.  Their instagram is definitely worth the follow too.
