The Talent ‘Game’ – Five Lessons in Creative Recruitment

Recently we embarked on the journey of finding for a new Senior Designer for our team. For most of my career I have worked within teams of under 20 people and the recruitment process has consistency filled me with dread. From my experience, it is never a seamless process no matter what scale of business your are in or how sophisticated the HR framework is.

One Month In and a Ginger Nut Addiction

It’s been one month since joining the BC crew and it is safe to say I can shake off any shyness or apprehension I first brought with me coming into a studio environment. The time has flown by but has also felt so substantial. I have slotted nicely into the fast-paced work dynamic and have formed great relationships with everyone here. It’s such a positive and nurturing place that is helping me develop  as a designer. It’s such a privilege to able to pick the brains of people with so much experience in the industry!

Swinburne Industry Placement

Hi, I’m Jas and I’ve joined Bonney Creative as an Industry Placement student as part of the Swinburne’s Bachelor of Design (Honours). I’m super excited for this opportunity where I can learn and grow in a studio environment and work on real world briefs. I can’t wait to get stuck in to packaging projects and the strategic thinking behind them.

Bonney Creative - Thanks

Two Years On and Time to Say “Thanks”

It is not often I sit idle. It is not often I take time to reflect, breathe or acknowledge how I got to where I am. My innate sense of being has always been focussed on ‘playing forward’ – know where I want to be and making it happen. No excuses. No expectations for ‘easy street hand outs’, just working hard and driven by my  acceptance that failure is right behind me lurking in the shadows.

In December 2011 following a 6 month soul searching sabbatical I received a call from a well respected friend and ex-colleague who recommended me for a project. I said yes – of course I can do that by the 22nd 3 days before Christmas and Bonney Creative Pty Ltd (BC) was born.
